Building the Foundation for a Healthier Life
At Unruh Spine Center, we recognize that taking care of just one area of your body isn’t the answer to overall wellness — which is why we help our patients pinpoint additional areas of their health to work on.
Learn how we can help support your overall well-being — from chiropractic care to immune and cardiac support.
Cutting Edge Specialities
To help fully support the health and wellness of each of our patients, we proudly provide a wide range of services from traditional chiropractic care to medical chiropractic care, which is focused on pain management and holistic healing. This is because we know that our patients come to us for chiropractic care following a range of injuries — from car accidents and workplace accidents to pinched nerves, migraines, and other chronic pain.
Additionally, our full-service facilities are also equipped to perform related tests like x-rays and nerve studies, and our team specializes in these areas:
- Orthotic solutions.
- General medicine.
- Shockwave therapy.
- IGS testing.
- Pain management.
Cardiovascular and Spinal Uses for ANS Testing
Have you ever had your cardiovascular neurologic system checked for potential disease?
Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) testing is used to assess how the nervous system reacts to stressors. The ANS system of the body has two major divisions: the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems.
Many of the essential organs in the human body are controlled by these systems. The sympathetic nervous system is responsible for fight-or-flight responses, while the parasympathetic nervous system is anabolic, which means it conserves and restores cardiac functions.
Am I a Good Candidate for ANS Testing?
ANS testing is based on Heart Rate Variability (HRV), which monitors your R-R intervals, beat-by-beat blood pressure, and pulse waveform. This allows us to tell if you’re a candidate for a massive heart attack or a vascular issue.
At Unruh Spine Center, our goal is to monitor the body’s response to changes through determinants like heart rate and blood pressure, so that we can care for your entire body. We typically recommend that individuals with these conditions receive ANS testing:
- Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
- Parkinson’s disease.
- Multiple system atrophy.
- Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
- Patients with a history of heart conditions or concerns over cardiac care.
ANS testing is not recommended for patients with the following conditions:
- Atrial fibrillation.
- Cardiac failure.
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
- Patients with a pacemaker.
Fortifying Your Immune System With Hydration Therapy
Did you know that 1 in 10 Americans are deficient in key vitamins and minerals? These elements are essential to protecting our immune system and warding off viruses such as COVID-19, but how do we make sure we’re taking in enough?
It’s hard to feel in control of our health at times, especially during the current pandemic. While immunotherapy is commonly used to treat cancer patients, it has many general uses to help support a healthy immune system.
Benefits of IV Hydration & Vitamin Therapy
While our bodies are great at protecting us from illnesses, taking a handful of vitamins each morning sometimes isn’t enough to protect us. When we ingest supplements we only absorb about 40% of the vitamins.
Proper wellness is especially vital for patients that are high-risk or immunocompromised — and that’s where IV hydration therapy comes in.
Also referred to as immunotherapy or vitamin therapy, IV hydration is a treatment that delivers a blend of nourishing fluid solution directly to your vein. The blend consists of a high concentration of key vitamins and minerals straight to your bloodstream, where your cells can reap the benefits immediately.
